Right angle valves find application in fore lines and rough lines where high reliability and low cost products are required. It consists of a movable disk-type element and a stationary ring seat housed by a cylindrical body. The application of this valve is much similar to a globe valve where it is used to regulate flow. But this valve finds major application where the direction of flow needs to be changed.
Right angle valves are available in three forms, one manually where a disc is used to control the opening and closing, the gear type where a system of gears is used to control the opening and closing of valves and the third is automatic, which is operated by an actuator assembly.The actuator assembly is enabled using LVDT where a system of hydraulic cylinders helps in the opening and closing of the valves.
