Hydraulic clamps are hydraulic devices that are used for conventional clamping and bolting applications with the use of hydraulic pressure to provide a superior hold. The clamping force required to hold the blocks or machinery in place is much higher, which cannot be obtained by manual forces and hence the hydraulic pressure provides the necessary force required to hold the clamps. The hydraulic nuts, also called ring nuts provide similar application but also provides cushioning or shock absorbing for extending forces during the operation
The Hydraulic Clamps are majorly used for all clamping applications that require a superior hold over conventional clamping techniques. They are majorly used in steel and rolling mills, where the rolling machinery is bolted to the foundation blocks and the rolls are firmly gripped to the rolling machine. They are available in standard sizes for rolling mills but can also be customised to suit similar applications where superior clamping is required.
