The Application of hydraulic pressure on the cylinder stretches the bolt to a predefined pre-tension.
With the help of a window provided in the bolt tensioner, the nut can then be tightened. Either the hole is previously drilled in the nut for insertion of rod or on request.
After pre-tensioning the bolt, this tensioner is disengaged from the system and the mechanical nut then holds the system in place
Standard sizes are available and special sizes can be provided on request.
HYDRAULIC NUT
The Hydraulic Nut, as the name suggests, replaces the traditional mechanical nut. Available in several variants, these hydraulic nuts are used to apply the force on the system.

On supply of hydraulic pressure through a hand pump or powerpack, the nut applies the designed force on the system. This hydraulic nut is either mounted on the machine by the use of several bolts or by an internal thread which is fastened to the shaft of the system
These hydraulic nuts will be featured with a mechanical tension ring that needs to be tightened before the removal of the hydraulic pressure.

HYDRAULIC CLAMPS
Hydraulic Clamps provide the higher force necessary to hold the machine or block in place, when manual force is not sufficient. They are used as shock absorption devices on the mounting of the mill stand.

The strokes available are from 5mm to 50mm. When hydraulic force is applied on the clamp, it opens to ease the extraction of the mill stand from the assembled position for maintenance purposes. Once the hydraulic force is released they deploy on the wedges to clamp the mill in the required position.
RING NUTS/SWING BOLT
The Ring Nut/Swing Bolt is used to clamp the mill stand to the base. These find wide applications in the primary metal customers as the mills are designed to be pre-stressed to a perfect value to sustain the variable loads of the drawn products.

Once the pressure is applied, the top nut has to be tightened and fixed into the locking position. Then the pressure might be released as the bolt is prestressed to hold the device in a fixed position. To remove the loads the hydraulic pressure is reapplied and the top nut is opened to unclamp the device
